On June 8, 2025, the ICCF Group and French National Assembly organized an interparliamentary dialogue with five members of the French Parliamentary Delegation, twelve members of Parliament from Colombia, Grenada, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Saint Lucia, and the United Kingdom, as well as Monique Barbut, WWF France President and former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, and Monica Medina, former Wildlife Conservation Society President and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs.

ICCF Group President John Gantt opened the dialogue with the background of the ICCF Group and the International Conservation Caucus and Oceans Caucus in the United States, and then invited Parliamentarians to introduce themselves and share national experiences in marine governance. Caucus members also discussed BBNJ progress, importance of marine protected areas, and challenges surrounding marine debris and plastics pollution. The event served as an important opportunity for policymakers from eight countries to exchange knowledge, legislative best practices, common goals, and challenges.
